Bottega Veneta is an Italian luxury goods and high fashion brand house best known for its leather goods which are sold worldwide and its men’s and women’s ready-to-wear. It was established in 1966 in Vicenza, Italy by entrepreneurs Michele Taddei and Renzo Zengiaro. The company developed a distinctive leather weave design, called intrecciato, that was used on the exterior of many of its products, and became widely associated with the Bottega Veneta brand. The house holds three iconic handbags: the Cabat, the Veneta, the Knot. Intrecciato was the starting point for Bottega Veneta’s evolution, and continues to be one of the most recognizable elements of the brand. By the early 1980s, Bottega Veneta was a favorite of the international jet set, with clients including Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and the empress Farah Pahlavi. From 2002, diversification of Bottega Veneta from a premium leather goods house to a luxury lifestyle brand. Bottega Veneta presented its first women’s ready-to-wear runway show in February 2005 and its first men’s runway show in June 2006. In April 2006, the company launched its first jewelry line and branched out into interiors and furniture design.

In 2011 the company brought their first perfume to the market. The fragrance symbolizes invisible luxury and matches the quality leather handbags perfectly. This lasting iconic scent is a natural extension of the Bottega Veneta universe. In March 2013, Bottega Veneta introduced a new and unique interpretation of this enchanting idea, Bottega Veneta Eau Légère, then in 2014 brought Knot to the market, a more luxurious facet of Bottega Veneta. Last year in 2016, Bottega Veneta launched Parco Palladiano, an ultra luxury collection of fragrances for men and women inspired by the Palladian gardens of the Veneto region, where Bottega Veneta was founded in 1966.
