In 1881, Antonio Cerruti founded a weaving workshop in Biella, an Italian town renowned for its rich heritage in quality wool and fabric production. From these roots, the Cerruti name has expanded from luxurious fabric to acclaimed fashion without ever losing sight of its core values emphasizing quality and style, craftmanship and technology. At the tender age of 20, Nino Cerruti took over the family business. Charismatic and talented, Nino Cerruti was drawn to the grand stage of Paris, the then undisputed fashion capital of the world. In 1967, he established Cerruti 1881, the luxury ready-to-wear line for men. The range of products under the brand includes fragrances, leather goods, watches, jewellery, eyewear, ties, shoes and writing instruments.

Fragrances were an early and important part of the Cerruti brand. The fashion house’s first fragrance, Nino Cerruti for Men, introduced in 1978, is the first in a long line of classic fragrances. The first women’s scent, Nino Cerruti Pour Femme, was launched in 1987. Cerruti 1881, the fragrance that became a classic of this designer’s house was launched in 1995. Known for delicate taste, first-class quality and distinct style, Cerruti continues to thrive as a timeless brand for men and women, incorporating rich notes of violet, iris, jasmine, and orange into their fragrances, resulting in an extraordinarily pleasant and long-lasting scent.
